Course Descriptions

 

Gentle Yoga – The focus of this course is on relaxation and learning to gain strength and flexibility without struggle.  We will use deep breathing techniques and yoga asanas (poses) to elongate the spine, strengthen the core, relax deeply and heal injuries.

 

Hatha/Vinyassa Yoga - The focus on this course is deepening body awareness through yoga poses and breathing techniques so an overall sense of well-being and vitality is achieved.   Students are encouraged to work at their own level and up-leveling of poses will be offered to challenge more advanced students.

 

Level II Yoga - This course is designed for intermediate/advanced students offering more challenging yoga poses. The emphasis will be on deepening the yoga practice through staying in poses longer, doing more advanced poses, and inversions.  Students will feel energized and refreshed.

 

Introduction to Meditation

Learn the foundations of meditation – sitting posture, walking meditation, focusing the mind, and simple ways to incorporate mindfulness into your daily life.
